Description

This paper presents a description of the HICON bell-type furnace installations technology sold by Ebner Industrieofenbau. Cold heading technology is briefly summarized, its advantages described, and the importance of a uniform anneal stressed. Improvements that the HICON high convection features over traditional single-stack annealers are listed. Three particular applications of the annealer are diagrammed, and examples of installations (with focus on the array of applications) are provided.
