Influence of prior structure upon spheroidization rate and cold forgeability of annealed wire

$15.00

Cold heading wires are generally spherodize-annealed in order to improve cold forgeability. Usually long-time annealing (10 to 20 hours) is required for spheroidizing. Shortening of spherodize- annealing time is desirable. The influence of microstructure before annealing upon spheroidization rate and cold forgeability was investigated. Hot rolling temperatures were evaluated using a revised microstructure and different hot rolled temperatures in rolling.
