The machinability of low carbon free machining steels depends not only on their chemical composition but also on other metallurgical parameters more difficult to control and quantify. This paper emphasizes the importance attached by Unimetal to all of the elements involved in the production of these qualities. It also highlights the progress made by Unimetal, especially its mastering of the various stages in the production of these grades.
