New chemical processes developed and in use in Europe are discussed. Topics such as low temperature zinc phosphate processes, recycling of sludges generated, borax and lime replacement, zinc phosphate replacement in cold heading wire processes and polymer lubricants are discussed. For the stainless steel manufacturer the new nitric acid-free pickling process is discussed.
