Obtaining ISO 9000 registration is frequently seen as an accomplishment of material magnitude. The human side of the process and the potential benefits that can be gained with proper planning are often neglected and result in unnecessary or avoidable conflicts. This paper covers the steps that should be included in all planning phases of ISO 9000 registration. It is based on practical experience gained in a wire and cable plant.
