Development of the production of profiles extruded from aluminum alloy AlMgSiO5 during 40 years of ZML at the Kêty SA Extrusion Plant

$15.00

Aluminum alloy AlMgSiO.5 was first used in Poland only a few years after the extrusion plant was opened in 1958. Thanks to its excellent hot-workability as well as quenching properties, this alloy dominated the production of profiles for an anticorodal group of products. The increased demand and development of production of profiles made from this alloy influenced the developments in the technology of production of billets, homogenizing, construction and manufacturing of tooling and extrusion presses with in-line quenching and finishing equipment.
