For any given application, knowing the flow rate, solids type and loading, and available filtering area is commonly known as the GPM per square foot sizing formula. Properly matching these variables will ensure the best coolant filter performance. This paper will expand on this basic formulation to provide a clear understanding of the importance of correct filter selection and sizing in relation to overall improved nonferrous wire production.
