Torrent Electricals enters residential wiring segment

The company has launched four new housing wire variants for domestic use.

Torrent Electricals, a renowned power cable manufacturer and a part of the Torrent Group, has recently announced its foray into the residential wiring segment. This move is in line with the company’s broader strategy to establish itself as a comprehensive solution provider for both industrial and domestic electrical infrastructure.

The company has introduced four new variants of housing wires for domestic use. These include Flame Retardant (FR), Heat Resistant Flame Retardant (HRFR), Flame Retardant Low Smoke and Halogen (FRLSH), and Halogen Free Flame Retardant (HFFR). Each of these variants has been specifically developed to cater to different residential safety and compliance requirements. The focus has been on ensuring fire resistance, thermal endurance, and minimising toxic emissions.

Sachin Phartiyal, the CEO of Torrent Electricals, expressed that the company’s entry into the housing wire segment is both timely and purposeful. He highlighted the increasing urbanisation, growing awareness about electrical safety, and the industry’s shift towards sustainable infrastructure as the key factors driving the need for advanced residential wiring solutions.

Phartiyal further added, “For most Indians, building a home is a once-in-a-lifetime dream built with immense hope, effort, and emotion. Recognising this deep personal investment, we at Torrent Electricals are committed to ensuring that the infrastructure of every home is built on trust and safety.”

Torrent Electricals manufactures its products at an 82-acre integrated facility located in Nadiad, Gujarat. This facility includes an in-house R&D department and a lab accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). The company’s launch of residential wires is a significant step towards becoming a complete solution provider for both industrial and domestic electrical infrastructure.
