A review of chlorinated polyethylene in the wire and cable industry

$15.00

The advantages and applications of chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) alone and as an additive to other polymer systems are discussed. The modification of PVC with CPE, thermoplastic jacket compounds, resistive compounds based on CPE, bonding CPE to cable shielding materials, low-voltage insulation and cable jacketing elastomers are discussed. CPE is also compared with flame retardant HDPE, plastic-coated aluminum, resistive HDPE, plastic coated aluminum and jacketing grade PVC.
