Fluidized-bed patenting of wire rods

$15.00

The fluidized-bed patenting of high carbon steel wire rod using zirconia sand medium is described. Cooling rate and mechanical properties of fluidized-bed patented material are discussed. Advantages of the method include excellent mechanical properties, application to stock with a wide diameter range, and good drawability. Comments on the paper and a discussion of application of fluidized-beds for heating wire to austenizing temperature and holding wire at patenting temperature after quenching are also presented.
