Recent developments in copper and aluminum rod production processes in Secim, a subsidiary of the Creusot-Loire Industrial Group, are discussed. Topics include ETP copper rod continuous production with the Secor process, continuous production of aluminum hard mechanical alloy rod, continuous production of aluminum conductors and intermediate strength alloy rod, and special rolling processes (continuous hot rolling of solidal rod; grooveless rod rolling).
