After a one-year break, the Midwest Chapter Golf Tournament came roaring back in 2025 with a new venue and renewed energy. Held at White Pines Golf Club, the event welcomed 86 participants—up from 69 in 2023—signaling a strong rebound and fresh momentum for the chapter.
Much of the event’s success can be credited to Lake Cable, whose generous support helped drive attendance and engagement. A special acknowledgment goes to Jack Rosenthal, Lake Cable’s director of purchasing, whose leadership and coordination were instrumental in making the tournament a standout event.
The day began with a morning shotgun start, setting the tone for friendly competition and networking. Following the tournament, attendees enjoyed a lively reception and buffet dinner—complete with an open bar, courtesy of Lake Cable. The evening wrapped up with a grand prize raffle, where Clifford Goss of SDI LaFarga COPPERWORKS took home a Honeywell 115-can beverage refrigerator and a $100 Amex gift card.
On-course contests kept things exciting throughout the day. The top team, finishing with an impressive score of 63, featured Matthew Bosler, Asa Garland, Matt Zumm, and Nichlas Pellegrino. Closest-to-the-pin winners were Jack Haberkorn, Ricardo Magana, and Rick Fischer. Longest drive honors went to Kimberly Johnson, Clifford Goss, and Jack Haberkorn, while Ricardo Magana also secured the straightest drive prize.
The tournament was made possible thanks to the support of numerous sponsors, including: Avient Corporation, Chase Corporation, Chief Supply Inc., Fenn-Torin, Guelph Twines Ltd., Industrial Wire & Cable Corp., Lake Cable & Lake Copper, OTECH Compounds, Reel Options, SDI LaFarga COPPERWORKS, SIKORA International, Teknor Apex, The George Evans Corp., Thermo Conductor Services Inc., Think Packaging Group, and Three D Metals.
