WILLIAMSPORT — The manufacturing capacity in the United States for certain transmission conductors has been doubled as the result of expansion at a Williamsport wire and cable plant. That was touted Friday at a ceremony marking completion of a 51,000 square-foot addition at the Prysmian North America factory in the city’s industrial park. The key to the expansion, which resulted in the addition of 27 jobs, was a long-term supply and manufacturing agreement announced in 2023 with Invenergy Transmission in support of its Grain Belt Express transmission project. If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
