In-line sequential marking is the process of printing sequential footage marks on cable, in-line with the jacketing and packaging process. In practice, it offers unique challenges to wire makers, especially at speeds above 1,000 feet per minute (305 m/min). A study of line configurations, pitfalls and solutions is presented.
