A JIT production system for PC wire & strand

$15.00

The production process of PC wire and strand has reached a point near maturity, and its productivity is not expected to increase drastically from now on. However, the supporting indirect cost keeps increasing due to the complexity and variety of products. The authors have successfully applied just-in-time (JIT) production systems to PC wire and strand production by 1) shortening production lead time by introducing the flow shop concept and the lot size reduction concept, and 2) shortening information lead time.
