A learning, self-adjusting, microcomputer-based industrial process control system

$15.00

This is the second of two related articles on an adaptive, self-tuning control system with applications in the wire industry. The first article, published in WJI Sept. 1981, examined the fundamentals of P.I.D. type control loops for extrusion lines. This paper concentrates on the design of a self tuning control system for the control of various parameters, particularly temperature, in a wire jacketing extrusion line. Theory and application are discussed in detail.
