A new, ultramodern wire plant of Gilbey-Fodor in France for pickling and surface treatment of nickel alloys and stainless steels is described and illustrated. The chemicals used, annealing, plant layout, building design, fluid distribution, bath neutralizing-draining system, electrical equipment, chemical control station, and selection of equipment construction materials are discussed.
