A new concept of lime coating and drying

$15.00

This paper describes a unique approach towards lime coating and drying of steel coils in an automated tunnel pickling line (TPL) system. It differs from most conventional TPL systems in that the coil drying is carried out in a hooded enclosure directly above the lime tanks. The coils can be repeatedly dipped into the lime tank and dried after each immersion, resulting in better quality of coating, higher output of the cleaning line and less space and capital requirements.
