A new descaling system which includes use of a mechanical scale breaker in tandem with a scale blasting machine is described. The mechanical descaling machine was designed to be threaded by the operator in a straight line. The grit blaster was developed to use recycled scale as grit; the scale can be recycled ten times or more.
