A new method of mechanical descaling of carbon steel wire rods

$15.00

This paper discusses a new technology of drawing steel wires. It demonstrates that modification of wire rod surfaces reduced production costs. Moreover, mechanical descaling has ecological benefits, allowing the elimination of pickling and lubricant carriers.Equipment (0.7 x 0.6 x 0.5 m) was installed directly before multi-die drawing machines. Die wear ratios were estimated after drawing approximately 3,000 Mg of rope wires.
