A new method for more efficient storage of rod is described and illustrated. The disadvantages of the horizontal storage system are outlined, and the new vertical system is introduced. The system allows for separation of grades, which eliminates rehandling, and stores more lbs/ft 72 1 than other methods. The crane used in handling is described.
