Calibration and testing of an Addison Electric Co contact-type meter employing two pulleys of dissimilar metal for rapid measurement of the bulk temperature of ferrous wire during high-speed drawing is described. Calibration over speeds of 50-3000 ft/min, temperatures of 50-300~C, and wire sizes 9-16 SWG is reported.
