A numerical study on the distributions of temperature in a fine high carbon steel wire subjected to high-speed drawing

$15.00

Quantitative evaluation was carried out on the influences of drawing conditions on the temperature distribution during high-speed drawing of wire. The material adopted was AISI 1080 high carbon steel, and the basic material properties were measured prior to the numerical analyses. Numerical analyses were then carried out by using a cord for the finite element analysis “ELFEN” developed at the University of Wales Swansea.
