A new spool-less packaging system has been developed for the production, handling and processing of wires, strands (and bunches), conductors and insulated cables. The packaging system creates several advantages for the producers and consumers of wire and cable. Packaging and transport costs are reduced, return costs for empty spools or barrels are eliminated, processing speeds are increased and downstream process performance is improved through application of this new packaging system.The packaging system can be utilized in wiredrawing, bunching, magnet wire and extrusion processes.
