This paper discusses methods for waste disposal reduction related to wiredrawing coolant systems. The paper will focus on two areas: 1) utilization of automatic centrifuge in conjunction with media filtration to attain improvements in coolant usage and quality, alongside with reduction of filter media usage and 2) reduction of waste coolant/emulsion disposal with the use of thermal evaporator.
