Adding dimension to the ‘North Star’ wire rod rust guide to expand its usefulness

$15.00

After several years of using the color photo Rust Guide to facilitate communications relating to determining fitness for use, North Star Steel has now added associated depth and width measurements. Microscopic assessments of the corrosion pits were made for each Rust Level 3-8 inclusive, in a range of grades and sizes. The extent of pitting correlates well with the Rust Level scale, thus broadening its usefulness in making judgments relating to specific rod applications.
