Adhesion of tire bead wire to rubber: some findings

$15.00

In this study, immersion plating of motor tire bead wire was carried out in baths of different concentration levels of CuSO4, H2SO4, and SnSO4. The oxidation of plated wire was prevented by applying cumor coating after plating. The effects on surface roughness and adhesion to rubber were studied. The morphology of the coating was also studied in the scanning electron micrograph. Surface roughness and adhesion of the plated wires were found to increase linearly with the increase in bath concentration.
