Adhesion technology for nickel plating and natural rubber

$15.00

Brass plating has been applied for adhesive plating for reinforcing material for tire and hose. Direct adhesion between brass plating and natural rubber is formed during curing. However, this good adhesion is often degraded under high humidity condition. To improve degradation of adhesion, new technology has been studied for adhesion between nickel plating and natural rubber by several researchers. Nickel is a noble metal and reactivity for sulfur is relatively lower than brass plating. Some approaches have been reported about acceleration of sulfide formation between nickel plating and natural rubber.
