Description
In a high-speed rod rolling mill, the laying head, controlled cooling conveyor, and the coil reforming tub are critical to achieving successful operations at speed over 100 m/s. Design changes in the laying head and laying pipe have resulted in dramatically increased finishing speeds and mill utilization, with improved ring pattern performance. Coupled with new designs of the reform tub system for smooth handling of the coil, these developments have enabled rod mills to increase production and produce more compact and consistent coils for downstream users.
