This paper will examine power cable extrusion from two perspectives. One being a macroscopic view of the total process involved in producing power cable, including the ancillary process such as material handling and compounding, all of which are necessary to produce a cable of the highest quality. Secondly, the paper will examine the extrusion process itself on a microscopic level.
