Advances in the technology for annealing steel wire

$15.00

This paper describes design and operational aspects of a unique Australian technology in wire annealing. Significant metallurgical and economical as well as ecological (clean air) advantages have been recorded, indicating favorable comparison of this technology with the conventional externally gas-heated retort wire annealing furnaces, using protective atmospheres or hydrogen. This technology is called the self lift High Vacuum Annealing Bell process.
