Alternatives to brass for coating tire steel cord

$15.00

This paper describes research and development of new alternative alloys to brass for steel cord application. The new alternative alloy coating shows a corrosion resistance many times higher than brass with a comparable adhesion to the rubber. Production of tires followed by indoor/outdoor tests is also reported.
