Aluminum alloys redraw rod by continuous casting and rolling (CCR)

$15.00

Continuous casting and rolling (CCR) for hard-temper aluminum alloys, the ‘Pechiney CCR process’, is described. Advantages of the process, and the developments, modifications, and adjustments in obtaining suitable grades of redraw rod are discussed. Technical advances since 1976 are reviewed and applications and prerequisite adjustments described. These applications include welding, anodizing, cold heading, and fine guage wire and are based on Pechinery’s extensive research and development efforts.
