Aluminum wire products are available in many alloys and tempers which offer a range of performance characteristics. The paper discusses the key performance criteria in a copyrighted graphical format. This concept is then utilized to determine the product best suited to meet customer specifications. In addition, use of a scanning electron microscope and digital image analyzer to develop a product to meet special customer needs is described.
