A new method for electrically determining the amount of tin coating on tin-coated copper wire is discussed. The process, based on Faraday’s Law, determines mg tin/cm 72 1 of the surface on copper wire of sizes about 25 mils in diameter. The techniques and necessary calculations are presented.
