The proper lubrication in wiredrawing applications strongly influences frictional conditions, surface finish and tooling wear. This work presents a study of lubrication in a wiredrawing tribe-system with high speeds. The results of model analyses show it is possible to previously define the experimental conditions to obtain hydrodynamic lubrication.
