Description
The yield strength, UTS, and thermal stability of 0.0808 inch Triple E conductor alloy wire (0.6% Fe-Al) were compared to those of EC aluminum after annealing at 204-315~C for 1-7 hours. Superior strength, elongation, and electrical conductivity, and a high degree of stability of properties at elevated temperatures are attributed to the formation of a fine subgrain or cell structure.
