Application of micro-spiral-corrugated welded tubes with optical fibers

$15.00

It is well-known that today optical fibers are applied in aerial cables. An improved cable design by a reduction of the diameter of more than 20 percent can be obtained by a new micro corrugation. Tube diameters of 3 mm to 6 mm are provided with this micro corrugation and the thin metal sheaths are about 0.1 to 0.15 mm. This mechanical forming process preferably in spiral corrugation improves the transverse stability by a factor of 3-5.
