The paper will describe the Injected Metal Assembly™ process developed by Fishertech-Division of Fisher Gauge Limited, which combines assembly techniques with zinc alloy die casting technology to terminate wire and cable. The process automates the first-end termination process, with a resulting increase in productivity, repeatability and quality, plus reduction in labor and material costs. Examples of wire and cable terminations will illustrate the process.
