Basic study of straightness in roller leveler straightening for bar in coil

$15.00

The goal of this paper was to investigate the straightness limit of bar in coil. It focuses on the bar shapes in coil feeding roller leveler straightening. The straightening of several conditions (a straight (one-dimensional) bar, a curved (two-dimensional) bar, and a curved and twisted (three-dimensional) bar) were investigated. It was found that the main factor determining the straightness limit was the three-dimensional shape containing a twist in the bar in coil before straightening.
