Calculation of ropes fatigue strength on the base of mechanical properties of wires

$15.00

A proposed method of calculation of the number of cycles of rope to failure during fatigue tests allows for an elimination of time and work consuming experimental tests. It has been confirmed that properties of wires drawn conventionally and hydrodynamically for rope manufacturing can be characterized by one indicator which is the sum of ratios of tensile strength to the number of bends and tensile strength to the number of twists.
