Cementite Decomposition and the Second Stage Static Strain Aging of Pearlite Steel Wires

$15.00

Mosebauer spectra for eutectoid steel are reported for specimens patented and drawn to 19, 59, 79 and 86% area reduction, in the aged condition (180 C, 60 min) and non-aged. The aging time and temperature are characteristics of the second stage of strain aging in high carbon drawn steels. It was observed that the decomposed cementite fraction, evalued from the cementite sextet’s integrated intensity, increases.
