Description

This paper focuses on the cold drawing process of magnesium alloy wires and mainly the difference between conventional and alternate drawing. It also explains the difference between the two processes and presents in detail the changes in mechanical properties of several different wires. Magnesium alloys are very brittle, which makes them hard to use. That’s why research is concentrated on the improvement of ductility of magnesium wires by using alternate wiredrawing in comparison with conventional drawing.
