Conductive vinyls for the wire and cable industry

$15.00

A new series of conductive materials based on a pvc binder were developed for application and potential use in the wire and cable, medical and hi-tech electronics industry. The conductive nature of these materials was obtained by incorporating highly structured carbon black fillers. The scope of the present study includes effects of various types and levels of carbon blacks on factors such as rheology (yield stress phenomenon), conductivity, mixing behavior and extrudability. Optimization of the material compostiion resulted in very highly conductive materials.
