The Cedynia copper rod mill in Orsk is a part of KGHM Polska MiedŸ S.A. The plant is one of the bigger European copper wire rod producers and is still in the process of making continuous improvements to the copper rod mill operation and to rod quality. This paper presents several improvements that have been implemented in order to increase copper rod quality, operating efficiency and to remain competitive in the copper rod market.
