This paper provides an overview of filtration system principles as they relate to the selection of nonwoven roll media for coolant filtration. Filter media selection criteria are defined. A sequential, statistically sound, quantitative approach is provided for conducting simple yet effective comparative evaluations of filter media and for monitoring filter system performance to continually improve quality, productivity, and cost position.
