For the surface inspection of spring wire there exists very good, stable and reliable testing instruments. Depending upon the type of defects that must be detected, we can use an Eddy Current instrument with rotating probes and/or an Eddy Current instrument with encircling coils. Unfortunately, it is not so that you can buy an Eddy Current instrument today for testing in standardized conditions tomorrow. To reach a correct operation and a correct evaluation of the continuous surface inspection the following elements are very important:
