This study analyzes the variations of the conductivity (resistance) for some important Cupper wire and strand dimensions and the possible savings. Because the material cost in the cable is the major cost, it is very important to know what is happening in the different processes. For example, the main problem with the weight method of measuring conductivity is the uncertainty of the lengths of pieces that are weighed.
