Controlling wire vibrations during film wire processing

$15.00

Based on linear vibration theory, criteria have been developed to predict the occurence of vibrations in specific wire processing situations. The criteria have been presented in a nomogram. The nomogram can be used to predict whether strong vibrations would be expected to occur in a specific wire processing situation. Two processing conditions occurring in industrial wire drawing practice are observed and compared to theoretical analysis. Illustrations provided.
