By the turn of the century, homes will be wired with three cables which are different from traditional building wire. The new cable designs will have a positive impact on the use of copper in wiring of homes. Estimates indicate there will be an increase of 25% more wiring in a home wired with Smart House technology. The development of Smart House technology will be reviewed with emphasis on the new wiring concept. Smart House is essentially a conventional home which employs all the most enhanced state-of-the-art electronics.
